CARBON DIOXIDE FERTILISATION
NATURE FEEDING NATURE
Carbon dioxide fertilisation is a natural process of fertilisation that provides the plant with the carbon dioxide required for photosynthesis. In a high-tech greenhouse, after a few hours of exposure to sunlight, the concentration of carbon dioxide may drop down to 350 ppm in the atmosphere.
At these concentration values, photosynthesis is reduced to a minimum resulting in the stopping of the synthesis reaction of sugars by plants.
For this reason it is possible to increase the productivity of the greenhouse by giving back the carbon dioxide to the plants at a level higher than the one in the atmosphere, so as to optimise the efficiency of photosynthesis. In accordance with our sustainability philosophy, we obtain carbon dioxide from the combustion of methane gas.
Recycle and do not waste is the basis of a correct relationship with the surrounding nature.
